The four-lobed Interna® connection features an absence of protruding edges, which avoids fatigue points.
This geometry allows a good distribution of loads: axial, lateral and torsional, reducing the risk of plastic deformation during the insertion and/or de-insertion of the implant and facilitating the insertion of the prosthodontic components.
Another distinctive feature is that the dimensions of this connection are always the same, regardless of the platform dimensions.
The Interna® connection implants by BTI have the following main features:

The universal platform implants are indicated for situations with narrow crest bones, in anterosuperior areas or in middle areas of the mouth, to restore canine and premolar teeth.
|ø 3,3 mm||It is an optional implant in cases of narrow crest bones, extending the offer of the Tiny® family.|
|ø 3,5 mm||Particularly indicated when 4.0mm implants would be advisable but the presence of a concave crest bone complicates their use. They offer a better mechanical response that that offered by ø 3.3mm implants.|
|ø 3,75 mm||It is the most used implant in type I, II and III bones.|
|ø 4,0 mm||It is the universal platform implant used the most in type IV bones.|
|ø4,25 mm||Indicated for prosthetic solutions that require greater biomechanical resistance, also when there is no surgical space to place a 5mm implant and for immediate load. An increase in the implant diameter always provides better stress distribution on the bone, it increases the osseointegration surface and provides mechanical improvements increasing resistance to fatigue.|

All BTI's universal platform implants use the specific Interna® BTI Dental Implant System prosthetic components. The Universal Plus platform implants will be chosen in the event of a placement in an alveolus immediately post-extraction, ideal for a bridge abutment in canine and premolar teeth areas and also as single implants in upper central teeth and molars, but in particular when the biomechanical requirement is significant and we must be more demanding when preserving soft tissue.
The Interna® Plus implant offers excellent gingival features as it allows an improvement of the biological space and the papillae thickness, while at the same time it reduces the diameter of the emergence profile, reducing the accumulation of bacterial plaque and thus minimising gingival recessions.
|ø 4,0 - 4,5 mm||It is the implant of choice for alveoluses post-extraction, allowing a good sealing of the alveolus. Ideal for posterior maxillary areas, increasing biomechanical resistance in addition to improving initial stability, as well as increasing the osseointegration surface. Excellent bridge abutment.|

Ideal for obtaining good initial stability and good stress distribution for upper and lower molars. Particularly useful in cases of implant placements post-extraction.
|ø 4,5 y 5 mm||These are the diameters of choice to obtain excellent primary stability. The 4,5mm implant is excellent as a bridge abutment in molars, and the 5mm one also as a single molar unit, as it is more biomechanically resistant.|
|ø 5,5 mm||This implant is recommended when we do not have adequate initial stability with 5mm implants, in areas with limited surgical height and for postero-superior single units.|
|ø 6,0 mm||This implant is recommended when, having chosen the 5,5mm one, we do not have adequate initial stability, and as a rescue implant.|
Wide platform implants will be the choice in single molar units and in particular for the upper maxilla.
