The scientific program counted with top-level international lecturers

Juan Carlos Izpisúa, Regenerative Medicine Centre Director in Barcelona and Professor in the Gene Expression Laboratory at Salk Institute, San Diego-USA; Katrina L. Kelner, Director of Science Translational Medicine magazine-USA and Augusto Silva, General Director of the Advanced Therapies and Transplant Centre-Spain.

The Symposium, that comes to birth with a biennial frequency, was inaugurated by Rafael Bengoa, Basque Country Government Department of Health and Consumer Affairs. Lecturers such as Carlos Simón, Jesús Merayo, Mikel Sánchez, Ignacio Gallo, Juan A. Durán, Natividad Calvente, José Luis Jorcano, Paolo Macchiarini, Damián García-Olmo, Gurutz Linazasoro, Carlos Simón and José M.ª Moraleda, contributed to offer an excellent scientific program.
