Biomedicine and biotechnology company BTI Biotechnology Institute has taken part in a new edition of Bio Spain where, in addition to being present at the exhibition, its scientific director, Dr. Eduardo Anitua gave a conference on the day of the inauguration. The conference, titled "Therapeutic use of autologous growth factors and fibrin scaffold: new scientific avenues in regenerative medicine", was given during the session where the United Kingdom was the Guest Country. During the conference, Dr. Eduardo Anitua talked about the successful case of BTI as an example of a Spanish biomedicine and biotechnology company that has successfully expanded to the United Kingdom.

The session was moderated by Derek Doyle, British Consul and finance and trade advisor, and was also attended by Jon Mowles, a trade and investment specialist from the Life Sciences sector, Graham Balls, professor from Nottingham Trent University, and Cristina Quiles, from Neuroscience Technologies.

Likewise, during the first session of the fair, BTI Biotechnology Institute's exhibition stand received a visit by HRM the Prince of Asturias, who was able to learn first-hand about the different activities and research that the research laboratory from Vitoria is carrying out and who, later on, hosted a private reception to which BTI was also invited.
