Yesterday, September 14, BTI Biotechnology threw its doors open to the media in order to explain the various areas of biomedicine in which it works, as well as to show off its facilities which, in the area of regenerative medicine and oral implantology, are among the most cutting-edge in Spain.

The event aroused considerable interest, and BTI was happy to welcome representatives from a dozen media organizations, including El País, EFE, Diario Médico, and Radio Nacional.

Juan Carlos Flores, Director of Strategy and Development at BTI, was tasked with introducing the company, its origins, its development, and how it has become one of Europe’s most respected companies in the oral implantology sector, as well as a world leader in the science of tissue regeneration through the use of autologous plasma rich in growth factors (PRGF®-Endoret®).

Afterwards, the journalists were invited to inspect BTI’s facilities at first hand, boasting technologically ground-breaking equipment. The journalists were specially interested in seeing not only the facilities in the R&D area, but also the operating rooms, the most modern and best-equipped in Spain, which Dr. Eduardo Anitua himself took time to show and explain to the visitors.

Next it was the turn of Gorka Orive, Head of the Regenerative Medicine Laboratory at BTI, who proceeded to give the assembled media a brief introduction to the topic of plasma rich in growth factors, early research efforts, the company’s investment in R&D&I, the many laboratory and clinical studies, as well as the different therapeutic applications for PRGF®-Endoret®, among others.

Finally, Dr. Anitua drew attention to the latest advances and the vast present and future therapeutic possibilities that have been opened up thanks to this innovative technique, after which he fielded questions from the members of the media.
