The athlete from Vitoria-Gasteiz Iván Fernández, sponsored by BTI Biotechnology Institute, achieved a standard of 2:12:55 in the Hamburg marathon, reducing the 2:13:00 time required in order to have a place in the Olympic Games in Rio 2016.
The athlete from Vitoria-Gasteiz Iván Fernández, sponsored by BTI Biotechnology Institute, achieved a standard of 2:12:55 in the Hamburg marathon, reducing the 2:13:00 time required in order to have a place in the Olympic Games in Rio 2016.
Fernández did an excellent race, he was the seventh in the event and he was the first European in reaching the finish line behind some African runners.
